For the ladies: On your wedding day, make sure you transfer your engagement ring to your right hand. Your wedding band will be placed on your left hand during the ceremony and you can switch the engagement ring back to your left hand afterwards.

When planning the timing of your speeches, make sure they do not coincide with the clearing of dishes, otherwise the speaker will not be heard clearly above the noise.

Make sure you wear-in the shoes that you've purchased for your wedding, prior to the wedding day itself! You'll want to walk in the shoes a week or so prior to the wedding day to make the shoes fit more comfortably! This will also give you a better "feel" for the shoes and will decease your chances of slipping and falling. Make sure to wear them on a variety of different surfaces too!
